About Westchester Limousine

31 years of professional ground transportation — chauffeured airport service, executive travel, and corporate accounts across 6 counties.

The Basics, On the Record

We’ve held the same name, the same Mohegan Lake address, and the same phone number since 1995. Here’s what we are, in numbers a regulator could verify:

  • Founded: 1995 — 31 years of continuous operation under the same ownership.
  • License: Westchester County TLC Base License #2600666. Renewed annually; on the public roster maintained by the Westchester County Department of Public Safety.
  • Insurance: Commercial auto liability per WCTLC Article 6 minimums — significantly above NY State personal-auto requirements. Vehicles individually rated; certificates available on request for corporate accounts.
  • Fleet: 15+ vehicles — late-model sedans (Cadillac CT5, Lincoln Continental), midsize SUVs, large SUVs (Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator), Mercedes Sprinter vans, and stretch limousines.
  • Service area: 6 counties — Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Rockland (NY) plus Fairfield County (CT) — roughly 4,200 square miles of coverage.
  • Airports: 8 commercial — JFK, LaGuardia, Newark Liberty, Westchester County (HPN), Teterboro (private), Stewart (SWF), Hartford Bradley (BDL), Boston Logan.
  • Dispatch: 24/7/365, in-house. Calls answered by a human, not an answering service.

How We Got Here

Westchester Limousine started in 1995 with a single black sedan running pre-dawn JFK pickups out of Mohegan Lake. The first customers were neighbors heading to early-morning flights who didn’t want to drive themselves to Queens, didn’t trust the parking-lot economy of long-term airport parking, and didn’t have good options between a taxi and renting a town car for the day.

The business grew because of repeat customers and corporate accounts, not paid advertising. By the early 2010s we’d added a Cadillac Escalade for executive groups and a Mercedes Sprinter for wedding parties. By 2020 we were running 24/7 dispatch with same-day pickups across Westchester, Putnam, and Fairfield. The Lexington Avenue address and the 914-222-1919 phone number haven’t moved — on purpose. Long-term customers can find us the same way they did in 1995.

We’re still locally owned and operated. Not a franchise, not a national chain rebrand, not a tech-startup ground-transportation reseller. The chauffeur picking you up at 4:30am is a W-2 employee of this company, paid hourly — not a contractor paid per-trip.

How We Run a Pickup

Every airport pickup runs through the same operational playbook. Knowing it ahead of time is the difference between a stressed traveler and a calm one:

  1. Booking + chauffeur assignment — reservations come in by phone or web. Dispatch assigns the chauffeur the night before for predawn pickups; same morning for daytime work. You get a confirmation with vehicle make/model and chauffeur first name.
  2. Pre-trip vehicle check — chauffeur runs interior/exterior cleanliness, tire pressure, washer fluid, phone charger availability, and luggage capacity vs the manifest. Standard before every shift.
  3. Flight monitoring (arrivals) — for inbound flights, we pull FlightAware status from 6 hours before scheduled landing. If your inbound delays, the chauffeur’s dispatch time shifts automatically; you don’t need to call us.
  4. Buffer logic by airport — pickup time = scheduled departure minus (TSA buffer + airport-specific drive time + 15-minute safety margin). JFK gets 3.5h buffer; LGA and HPN get 2.5h; long-distance trips (Bradley, Logan) get 4h+.
  5. On-trip — chauffeur sends a “I’m here” text on arrival at curbside. If you opted into meet-and-greet, they’re inside baggage claim with your name on a sign.
  6. Billing — flat rate, locked at booking. Credit card on file gets the charge after the trip; corporate accounts get monthly consolidated invoices.

This is why we book predawn flights without drama: the playbook handles the variables. Your job is to be ready at the door at the pickup time we gave you.

Our Chauffeurs

Every chauffeur in this company:

  • Holds an active Westchester County TLC license. Required for any for-hire passenger transportation in Westchester. We don’t dispatch unlicensed drivers, full stop.
  • Passed a background screening covering driving record (DMV pull, 5-year window), criminal history, and prior employment verification.
  • Is paid hourly as a W-2 employee, not per-trip as a contractor. The reason this matters: it removes the financial incentive to rush, skip rest, or take riskier routes. The chauffeur gets paid the same whether traffic is light or heavy.
  • Carries commercial driver’s insurance as part of our fleet policy. Your trip is covered by the company carrier, not the driver’s personal auto policy.
  • Receives recurring training on customer service, route optimization, defensive driving, and luggage handling. Two formal sessions per year minimum.

We don’t publish chauffeur bios on the public site — for safety and privacy reasons specific to a personal-transportation business. Corporate accounts and repeat customers can request a preferred chauffeur assignment.

Where We Operate

Our base is Mohegan Lake (10547), at the Yorktown/Cortlandt border in northern Westchester. From there we cover six counties:

For long-distance work we go further: Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, the Hamptons, and Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun are common routes. Call 914-222-1919 to confirm any pickup address.

Book a Ride or Open a Corporate Account

Same-day requests, predawn pickups, and corporate-account billing all start at the same phone number we’ve had since 1995.
