For Westchester summer travel to the Hamptons, the choice is usually Hampton Jitney (cheap, shared, slow), private car service (premium, direct, flat-rate), or driving yourself (free, but you spend 2.5–4 hours on the LIE). For most Westchester travelers, private car service is the easy winner — you avoid the LIE driving stress and arrive in better shape for the beach weekend.
Westchester to the Hamptons is 120–150 miles depending on destination (Southampton is closest, Montauk farthest). Drive time runs 2.5–4 hours, with Sunday return windows being the worst. Our standard route is I-287 + Throgs Neck Bridge + Long Island Expressway + Sunrise Highway + Route 27. For Sunday return trips we sometimes route via the Northern State Parkway as the LIE returns can stall.
We serve every Hamptons destination — Westhampton Beach, Southampton, Water Mill, Bridgehampton, Sag Harbor, East Hampton, Amagansett, Montauk, and Shelter Island (with ferry coordination). Vehicle options: luxury sedan for couples, midsize or large SUV for families, minivan for groups with extra luggage, Mercedes Sprinter for full house-share groups.
