Brooklyn Cruise Terminal at Red Hook is the quieter sister to Manhattan Cruise Terminal. It primarily serves Princess Cruises Bermuda and Caribbean sailings, Cunard Queen Mary 2 transatlantic crossings to Southampton, and select Holland America Line Canada/New England itineraries. Embarkation is typically faster than MCT thanks to lower passenger volume.
For Westchester travelers, Brooklyn Cruise Terminal is 40–48 miles via Henry Hudson + West Side Highway + Brooklyn Battery Tunnel (Hugh L. Carey Tunnel) or via the FDR + Brooklyn Bridge. The Battery Tunnel route is usually faster but has a $9.50 toll (included in our flat-rate quote). Total drive time runs 60–100 minutes.
The terminal building is on Atlantic Basin in Red Hook, Brooklyn. There’s a single drop-off curb where porters meet you, and the building has standard cruise embarkation flow (check-in, photo, security, walk to ship). Cunard Queen Mary 2 crossings to Southampton are the highest-profile departures — for transatlantic sailings we recommend a large SUV given the volume of luggage typical for week-long crossings.
